Transfer Center
See also Transfer Orientation.
The Transfer Center is organized to help transfer students transition to life at UNT. The staff within the Center provides students with assistance in connecting to campus resources to better ensure a successful transition to campus. Research shows that students succeed in college by becoming active participants in campus life, taking responsibility for their learning, and by utilizing campus resources. The Center is available to assist you in your successful journey at UNT.
Transfer students are very important to UNT. This past fall (2008), transfer students accounted for over half our new student population. Each fall we welcome over 3,500 new transfer students on our campus and our goal is to be a resource to them all.
The Center offers programs such as Transfer Orientation, Tau Sigma (a transfer student honorary society), a Transfer Ambassador program (transfer student mentoring program), and Transfer Talkbacks.
In addition, this site is designed to provide helpful links to many other resources, services and programs available to you.

Transfer Talkbacks
Transfer Talkbacks are round-table discussions held throughout the fall and spring semesters to give current transfer students the unique opportunity to provide feedback on programs and academic and campus issues facing them. This feedback helps the Transfer Center better address the needs of transfer students.
